Heat Recovery Heat Pump Chiller

Heat Recovery Heat Pump Chiller

What Is “Dual Effect”

A Dual-Effect Energy-Saving Unit is a high-technology system capable of simultaneously providing heating and cooling. While producing chilled water for air-conditioning, it can concurrently generate hot water required for applications such as SPA facilities or swimming pools.

How Energy Is Saved

During the simultaneous production of chilled and hot water, no additional heating equipment is required. The system replaces conventional hot water production equipment, such as boilers, thereby significantly reducing fuel consumption. As a result, it offers substantial cost savings while remaining safe and environmentally friendly.

Product Features

  • By simultaneously supplying indoor air conditioning and hot water, fuel costs can be reduced by approximately 50%–80%.

  • The chilled (hot) water supply features fully automatic capacity control, eliminating the need for additional or complex external control devices.

  • The chilled (hot) water unit is a multi-functional, safe, and reliable system, with no concerns regarding industrial safety hazards or environmental pollution.

  • Provides year-round capability to heat tap water from an inlet temperature of 18 °C to an outlet temperature of 63 °C.

  • Based on the requirements of different indoor usage zones, once the unit is started, it will automatically switch among the following five operating modes according to the cooling or heating signals received:

    1. Cooling-only mode – chilled water supply only (for indoor air conditioning).

    2. Heat recovery mode – chilled water capacity equals hot water capacity
(simultaneously providing full-load air conditioning and full-load hot water).

    3. Heat recovery mode – chilled water capacity greater than hot water capacity
(full-load air conditioning with reduced hot water output).

    4. Heat recovery mode – chilled water capacity less than hot water capacity
(full-load air conditioning with reduced chilled water output).

    5. Heating-only mode – hot water supply only (for indoor hot water use).

Human–Machine Interface (HMI) Operating Features

(I) Selectable Operating Modes

  • HMI Start/Stop Mode:
Start-up and shutdown can be performed directly via the human–machine interface.

  • Remote Control Mode:
    (1) Remote operation via the RS-485 communication interface.
    (2) Remote start/stop operation via ON/OFF dry contact signals.

  • Scheduling (Calendar) Mode:
Start and stop schedules can be preset on the HMI by month, week, day, hour, and minute.

  • Chilled (Hot) Water Operating Mode:
Based on load demand, the system can be set to combined chilled/hot water mode, cooling-only operation, or hot-water-only operation.
